Booking & Payment

On Line

Please use the blue button shopping basket system first to pay for your sailing experience. You will then be directed back to the booking form, complete this and submit it. Confirmation of your booking and joining instructions will be emailed to you.

By Cheque

To pay by cheque complete and submit the Booking Form and post your cheque to Yellow Bird Sailing with a copy attached within the following seven days, (Places cannot be held any longer than this). Confirmation of your booking and joining instructions will be emailed or posted to you.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are valid for one year from the date of purchase and can be used to book onto any of our available dates between April and October, (booking early is advisable).

If you are unsure, please contact us by phone or e-mail to discuss your options and our friendly staff can confirm if your chosen date is available and calculate the total cost for you.

Important Information For Day / Half Day & Evening Sailing

Where are we

The yachts are based on the South Coast, in Southampton and Hamble, with easy access to Southampton water and the Solent area.

Numbers
We can cater for up to a maximum of seven people on board each yacht plus the skipper. Minimum age is 13. Maximum weight 20 stone. No previous sailing experience is required. Non-swimmers are welcome.

Catering

Tea, Coffee, soft drinks and biscuits on board are inclusive. Any food and drinks ashore is not included.

The Weather
Sailing may be cancelled or curtailed in extreme weather conditions which would make it dangerous. Please call the office if in any doubt.

Spectators
Spectators are welcome to wave you off from the Marina, but will not be able to join you on board.

Dress code
Dress casually in several layers of clothing to allow for hot/cold weather. It is important to bring an anorak and soft-soled shoes (e.g. trainers/deck shoes). A hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are essential on sunny days. life-jackets and waterproofs will be provided. Don't forget your camera!

Availability
Selected dates from April to October, and occasionally outside these months too. All booking is subject to availability so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Important Information for Offshore Cruises

Numbers
There will be up to a maximum of six people on board, plus the skipper & 1st mate. Parties & Groups welcome. Minimum age is 16. Maximum weight 20 stone. No previous sailing experience is required. Although a sense of adventure helps. Non-swimmers are welcome.

It is important to bring an anorak and soft light-coloured soled shoes & waterproof boots (e.g. trainers/deck shoes/Wellies/Sailing Boots). A hat, sunglasses and sunscreen are essential on sunny days. life-jackets and waterproofs will be provided. Don't forget your camera!

Insurance & Passports

For our Cross Channel cruises only you will need a valid passport, current medical/travel insurance and European Health Insurance Card (EHIC).

Overnight Sailings

You will need to supply your own sleeping bag on any overnight sailings.
